Hello, and welcome to my space. My name is Mei Staples,Mei’s mean is Plum Blossom； and I am a writer, a dreamer, and someone who believes in the power of stories to honor the lives of those we love and have lost.

My journey as a writer is deeply rooted in the memories of the incredible women who shaped my life but were unable to complete their own stories. My mother passed away at the age of 49, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. My second eldest sister’s life was cut short at just 19, and my beloved aunt departed at 42. Their absence is a void that echoes with the unspoken dreams and unrealized potentials of so many women from my hometown—including some of my high school classmates, who were also taken too soon.

These losses are both deeply personal and heartbreakingly common where I come from, and they have profoundly influenced my perspective on life. I write to remember them, to give voice to the stories they never had the chance to tell, and to explore the complexities of love, loss, and resilience.

My own life has been a journey of transformation and growth. At 19, I stepped into a factory as a young factory girl, navigating the challenges of long hours and hard work. Over time, I transitioned to a role as a customs declarant, then moved into an office as a clerk, and eventually rose to the position of deputy general manager. Later, I took a leap of faith and founded my own café brand, pouring my heart into creating a space that connected people. However, life had other plans, and I eventually left my home country to start anew in New Zealand, where I rediscovered myself and my love for writing.

In late January 2025, my husband and I will be heading to Sri Lanka from New Zealand, embarking on another exciting chapter of our lives. We plan to spend some time in Italy and travel around the world, embracing the beauty of diverse cultures and experiences. I hope we will meet in person someday, whether in Sri Lanka or somewhere else along the journey.

My ultimate goal is to bring these stories to life through novels, creating enduring tributes to their strength and humanity. For now, this blog is my stepping stone. It’s a space where I share my reflections, connect with readers, and build the foundation for the novels I hope to write.

Through my writing, I hope to not only honor their memories but also inspire others to cherish and celebrate the people who shape their lives.

这些失去对我而言既是个人的悲痛，也是普遍的生命主题，深深影响了我对生活的理解。我写作是为了记住她们，为她们未能讲述的故事发声，探索爱、失落与坚韧的复杂意义。

我的人生本身也是一个成长与蜕变的旅程。19岁时，我成为一名工厂女工，经历了长时间工作和艰辛劳动的挑战。之后，我逐步转型，成为一名海关报关员，随后进入办公室担任文员，最终晋升为副总经理。后来，我勇敢地迈出了新的一步，创立了自己的咖啡馆品牌，用心打造一个人与人连接的空间。然而，生活有它的计划，我最终离开了祖国，来到新西兰重新开始，这里让我重新发现了自己，也找回了对写作的热爱。

在2025年1月底，我和丈夫将从新西兰启程前往斯里兰卡，展开我们人生的又一个精彩篇章。我们还计划在意大利停留一段时间，并环游世界，拥抱多元文化的美好与经历。我希望有一天能与你们见面，无论是在斯里兰卡还是旅途的某个地方。

我的终极目标是通过小说将这些故事呈现出来，作为对她们力量与人性的永恒致敬。而现在，这个 “未完待续“ 博客是我的起点。它是一个让我分享感悟、与读者交流的平台，也是我为写作小说奠定基础的一步。

通过我的写作，我不仅希望纪念她们的生命，也希望激励更多人去珍惜和庆祝那些塑造我们生命的人。
